Examination Stages
Laboratory Tests,
By taking a urine sample for a full urinalysis, and by taking a blood sample; complete blood count, Sedimentation- Fasting Blood Sugar- Urea- Uric Acid- SGOT- SGPT (liver enzymes) - Cholesterol (amount of fat in the blood) - Triglyceride- HDL Cholesterol (benign cholesterol) controls are performed.
Radiology
Our physicians, by the chest x-ray; control the structure of the chest, lung ventilation, heart size, and whether there is or there was a lung infection.
Electrocardiography (ECG)
ECG is performed to check the regularity of heart rate and heart rhythm, and whether there is cardiovascular occlusion.
ENT examination,
In ENT examination, evaluation of the eardrum, hearing, nasal congestion are done and whether there are problems that prevent the speech from being understandable are evaluated.
Audiometry (Hearing Test)
With the hearing test, the minimum hearing thresholds of the pilot at various frequencies are determined. In addition, the levels of understanding and discernment in speech are determined.
Respiratory Function Test,
By performing a respiratory function test, breathing capacity, air volumes in and out, and airflow restriction are checked.
Visual Field
Two types of visual field tests are performed; centrally and peripherally. With the visual field test, it is checked whether there is any loss or narrowing in vision.
Eye Examination
In the eye examination, visual acuity, color vision, sense of depth, eye pressure, visual field and angiographic examinations are performed and the anterior and posterior segments of the eye are examined.
Neurology Examination
With a neurology examination, muscle strength, sensory controls, balance coordination tests, reflex control, gait disorder tests and head nerves controls are performed.
Psychiatric Examination
It is assessed whether there are any acute or chronic, congenital or acquired psychiatric illness or disability conditions or disorders that may impair the safe use of privileges of aviation personnel applying for medical examination.
Internal Medicine Examination
Internal medicine examination is the last step in evaluating the results of the analysis. Previously taken lung x-ray, ECG, respiratory function test and analysis results are collected and prepared for internal medicine examination. During the examination, blood pressure and heart rate values are also taken and a comprehensive internal physical examination is performed.
The examinations can also be done on Saturdays.
